Yep! For astronomers, nearly every university has an astronomy group, so you can work at almost every city in the world. In the general area of space and the space industry though, in the UK, there’s hubs in London, Oxford, Bristol, Leicester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
For science in general, there’s companies in every city that use science and need scientists, even where you wouldn’t expect. For example, my cousin is a chemist, and used to work in the highlands of Scotland working on the chemistry of whisky!

At CERN there are lots of opportunities for particle physicists, but also for computer scientists, engineers, technicians, and even students for internships etc.
