Planes fly by diverting air in their wings in a way that air flows faster on the wing top than at the bottom while the plane moves forward.
.
The pressure pushing the wing at the bottom is higher than at its top, resulting in a force upwards which holds the plane. That force is called……lift (very creative naming in english 😉 in portuguese it’s at least an obscure word – empuxo).
